Inside: All of the February Half-term activities happening in Hertfordshire.
If you haven’t made any plans for February half term yet, there are lots of fun events happening in Hertfordshire for the whole family to enjoy.

February half term varies around the country, with some counties taking it 12th – 16th February and others 19th – 23rd February. Hopefully you will find an activity to suit you.
Please be sure to check the organiser website for the most up to date details in case of any cancellations due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.
February Frolics at Willows Activity Farm
Dates: 17th – 25th February 2024.
Head on down to Willow’s Activity Farm for their half term event.
There’ll be live lambing, newborn lamb bottle feeding demonstrations and a full day’s programme of fleecy fun for a baa-rilliant day out!
Aldenham Country Park
Dates: 17th – 25th February 2024.
Learn about Lambing, meet Pooh, have a tractor ride, and enjoy all of the fun at the farm as well as exploring the park at Aldenham Country Park this half term.
Love is in Nature at Standalone Farm
Dates: 19th – 21st February 2024.
Standalone has teamed up with Alice van der List from All in One Season to bring a floral workshop to the farm. With Alice’s expert help and guidance, each child and adult will create a unique, nature-themed masterpiece that can be taken home and proudly displayed!
Recommended for 6+, sessions last 1 hour and include farm passes. Under 2s do not need a ticket.
Big Tractors at Foxholes Farm
Dates: 17th – 19th February and 23rd – 25th of February 2024.
Go and sit in a variety of tractors at Foxholes Farm including a JCB, Forage Harvester and lots of other tractors with their attachments. You can also visit a few of the animals while you are there – although the main Farm Park doesn’t open until April.
Woodland Workshop at Hatfield House
Dates: 17th – 25th February 2024
Head down to Hatfield House to join in a Woodland Workshop, where children are invited to explore, create and connect with the park and woodland around them.
Have a go at making a Pinecone Bird Feeders or a Bug Hotel and then head down to the new bird hide to see what birds you can spot in the woodland.
Paper Flower Making at Mill Green Museum
Dates: 20th & 21st February 2024
Learn a new skill and help add to a big community art project at Mill Green Museum as well as making your very own paper flower to take home.
Suitable for ages 3 and up. 30 minute session with mill admission included in the ticket.
Crafts at British Schools Museum
Dates: 19th, 20th and 22nd February 2024
Head down for children’s crafts in the historic Monitorial Schoolroom at the British Schools Museum.
Make a paper dragon to welcome in the The Year of the Dragon this Chinese New Year or create a hand printed spring flower picture for springtime. Always lots of fun to be had in their craft sessions – not to mention the fun of the museum too.
Impossible Illusions at Hertford Museum
Dates: 20th – 22nd February 2024.
Drop in for some fun crafts at Hertford Museum this half term for there Impossible Illusions theme. £3.50 a child and no need to book in advance.
