This post lists Easter specific events, but of course there are the usual family fun days out in Bedfordshire to check out too.

Zoonormous Egg Hunt at Whipsnade Zoo

Dates: 29th March – 14th April 2024

Join the Zoonormous Egg Hunt at Whipsnade Zoo to seek out eggs of all sizes and colours hidden around the Zoo, while learning about egg-ceptional species along the way. Unravelling clues or solving riddles at each location will crack the code, leading successful egg-splorers to the magnificent golden egg, where they’ll be rewarded with a tasty treat!

Easter Wonderland at Mead Open Farm

Dates: 29th March – 12th April 2024

Take an enchanted journey through the Easter Wonderland with Alice and friends including The Mad Hatter and The Queen of Hearts. Don’t be late to join the White Rabbit for his interactive show ‘Stop the Clock!’ Plus, don’t forget to complete the Easter Trail to win a chocolate treat.

Easter at Herrings Green Farm

Dates: 29th March – 15th April 2024

Come and meet and handle the owls, watch flying displays, have fun in the playground and climb aboard the tractors at Herring Green Farm this Easter. There will also be lambs to see as well as other spring babies too.

Easter Adventure Quest at Wrest Park

Dates: 23rd March – 14th April 2024.

Visit Wrest Park this Easter and take part in their Easter Adventure Quest. Hunt for clues in the castle grounds, track down the Easter eggs and get rewarded with a tasty chocolate treat.

You can take on the quest every day of the school holidays, and it costs just £2 to take part (including members).

Easter Wonderland in Cheddington

Dates: Sunday 31st March and Monday 1st April 2024

Head down to the Cheddington Village Hall for lots of Easter fun. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt, Face Painting, Slime Making, Easter Crafts, Easter Biscuit Decorating, Henna, Hair Braiding, Nail Painting, Games, Coconut Shy, Crazy Golf, Tombola, and much more.

Entry is Free and there will be a pop up cafe for food and drink. The event runs from 12pm to 4pm and entry is FREE. No booking needed.

Easter egg hunt at Houghton Regis Library

Dates: Saturday 23rd March. 10:00–13:00.

Starting at Houghton Regis Library, take your little ones on a fun-filled Easter egg hunt around Bedford Square.

Easter Bunny Fly-In and Egg Hunt at Shuttleworth

Dates: Saturday 30th March & Sunday 31st March 2024.

Head to Shuttleworth this Easter and look up to the sky around 11:30am to watch the Easter Bunny make an entrance from the airfield. Follow the bunny’s helpers into Shuttleworth Swiss Garden and join the hunt to find the eggs they left behind throughout the Garden. 

Leighton-Linslade Children’s Trail

Dates: Tuesday 2nd April 2024. 09:30-13:30

Head down to Leighton Buzzard Market this Easter for lots of fun activities to celebrate the re-launch of the Children’s Trail, including:

  • Face Painting
  • Balloon Art
  • Crafts
  • Soft Play
  • And more!!

Pick up Your New Trail Map from the market and explore the trail to pick up treats along the way. There will also be Characters from Alice in Wonderland between 10am and 11am, plus storytelling and crafts in the library at 11am.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Turvey House

Dates: Friday 29th March 2024. 10:00 – 16:00.

Head along to Turvey House for their Easter event filled with lots of fun activities, including:

  • Easter Trail & Egg Hunt
  • Chocolate Nest making
  • Easter crafting
  • An Easter Bunny
  • Bouncy Castle
  • Food, drink & local Stalls

Easter Tea Party Trail at Jordans Mill

Dates: 29th March – 14th April 2024. 9:30 – 16:30.

Head down to Jordans Mill this Easter. Can you help the meadow and woodland animals by answering the questions on your trail sheet? Can you work out what recipes are being created and which creatures are making each recipe? Will you spot how many eggs the poor overworked chickens have got to lay for each recipe?

Collect your activity sheets from the Mill shop and then hand back at the end to collect your prize! No need to book.

Easter egg hunt at Dunstable Downs

Dates: 29th March – 14th April 2024. 10:30 – 16:00.

Make your way along the trail at Dunstable Downs and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family.

Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.
